To all Anzac Warriors
Many years ago you left us to fight for us.
Many years ago you departed from your family to give us a chance, a place we call home and a way to live like no other.
Some of you gave some of us the chance to be here.
You’ve taught us life is what you make it.
So today we’ll take the time to make it about you.
Some wake up at dawn.
It’s about what we think of you that will be expressed today.
No storm could stop us from making today truly about you.
If you were here you’d be so proud to see us celebrate you, to see us hear from your family true. Aussies love their footy and to have a match that’s in dedication of you, well you must have done something pretty special.
Well that’s why I celebrate Anzac Day anyway.
That’s why I think so highly of you.
